Despite two days of sun the trails at Tanglewood were still wet and muddy. After changing two flats (one at home and one at Tanglewood, after the patched spare failed on the drive over) I slipped and slid around #1 and then gave it up. I only fell once, that’s three for the monty, but no real harm done. But why do I always fall to the left? The old Schwinn did ok, though the steering seemed ‘twitchy’. Also the extra fat tires seemed to be a bit excessive and heavy. On the bright side, the rigid frame makes for very efficient peddling. It’s a very comfortable ride, but I’ll still be glad to get the Trek back.
